FPS Public Health recognized for innovation at the federal level
The Federal Public Service (FPS) Public Health received significant recognition this week. The institution was awarded twice during the "Federal Innovation Award 2026" ceremony, an event that highlights the most creative projects within the Belgian administration.
These awards underscore the teams' efforts to modernize public services and improve the efficiency of administrative work. Innovation has become a priority for the government, which seeks to adapt its methods to the current needs of Belgian citizens.
Among the winners, Carolien Sonck particularly distinguished herself. She received the "Possibility Manager" award, a distinction that recognizes an individual capable of transforming complex ideas into concrete and achievable solutions for the public good.
This double recognition is a positive step for the FPS Public Health. It demonstrates that state services are investing in the talent of their employees to provide better service to the population, while encouraging a culture of sustainable innovation within federal institutions.
