Karnobat railway station evacuated due to gas leak
The railway station in the town of Karnobat was urgently evacuated this morning due to a serious incident. The reason for the safety measures is a detected leak of propane-butane from a freight tanker passing through the area.
The report of the dangerous leak was made to the police at 8:25 a.m. Immediately after receiving the information, fire department teams and specialized services were dispatched to the scene to contain the situation and prevent a potential explosion.
Authorities took immediate action for the safety of citizens, and the area around the station was cordoned off. Passengers and staff were moved to a safe distance, and train traffic in the area was temporarily suspended.
Currently, teams are working to repair the damage to the tanker. There is no information about any injuries in the incident, and the situation remains under the control of the competent authorities, who continue to monitor gas levels in the atmosphere.
