President of Albania dismisses intelligence chief
The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, has made the decision to dismiss the director of the State Intelligence Service (SHISH). The news was confirmed by the BGNES news agency, which monitors events in the Balkans.
The main reason for this personnel decision is linked to a serious security breach within the institution. It concerns a leak of confidential data, which has led to a crisis of confidence in the leadership of the intelligence service.
