National campaign offers free eye exams using artificial intelligence
A large-scale national campaign has been launched, providing citizens with the opportunity for free eye examinations. The initiative uses modern artificial intelligence technologies to ensure more accurate and faster diagnostics for patients.
Mobile medical clinics will visit a total of 29 locations across the country. The goal of the campaign is to facilitate access to specialized care, especially for people living in smaller or remote areas.
The main focus of the examinations is the early detection of serious diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. These conditions often progress without symptoms in the beginning, which is why regular check-ups are crucial for preserving vision.
Residents of the Burgas region will also be able to take advantage of the free services. Teams of specialists will be available to consult with citizens and refer those in need to follow-up treatment if necessary.
The organizers urge people to follow the mobile clinics' schedule to take advantage of the opportunity for preventative care. The campaign is an important step toward improving public health and the prevention of eye diseases in Bulgaria.
