Bulgaria to send 16 young athletes to the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar

Bulgaria is preparing for the upcoming Youth Olympic Games, which will be held in Dakar in 2026. Our country will be represented by a total of 16 talented competitors who will vie for medals in various sports disciplines.

The preparation of the Bulgarian delegation has already begun in earnest. On Thursday, September 17, 2026, all team members will undergo mandatory immunization, which is part of the requirements for participation in the international forum.

In addition to medical preparation, the organizers have also planned special training for the young athletes. It will begin at 1:30 PM on the same day and aims to familiarize the competitors with the rules of the games, logistical details, and the cultural characteristics of the host country, Senegal.
