Iliana Iotova: Bulgaria remains a safe destination for tourists
Vice President of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova assured the public that our country remains one of the safest tourist destinations in the region. According to her, despite the tense international situation, there are currently no direct threats to Bulgaria's security related to the conflicts in Europe and the Middle East.
In her statement, Iotova emphasized that the state is making serious efforts to maintain order and tranquility. She pointed out that the Bulgarian borders are reliably guarded and are among the most secure in the entire European Union, which is of key importance for national stability.
Despite the assurances of security, the Vice President called for stricter measures regarding migration policy. According to her, it is necessary to strengthen control to ensure that the country will continue to be a protected and predictable environment for both its citizens and foreign visitors.
These statements come at a time when the tourism sector in Bulgaria is preparing for the active season. The message from the institutions is clear – Bulgaria remains an open and safe country for vacations, with the state continuing to monitor the geopolitical situation carefully.
