Bulgarian grain exports at risk due to tensions in the Black Sea
Bulgarian grain exports are facing a serious risk in the coming months. The reason for this is the escalation of military operations and the frequent attacks on merchant ships in the Black Sea.
According to industry experts, many transport companies are refusing to load Bulgarian wheat at ports. Shipowners are concerned about the safety of their crews and vessels, which is leading to serious logistical difficulties for Bulgarian producers.
Currently, the export of about 5 million tons of wheat is under threat. If the situation does not improve, this could lead to overflowing warehouses in the country and significant financial losses for farmers who rely on international markets.
The situation in the Black Sea remains unstable, making the planning of commercial shipments extremely difficult. Bulgarian authorities and industry organizations are closely monitoring the development of events in order to seek alternative solutions for transporting the produce.
