Thousands of Sofia residents to be without hot water for 17 days due to repairs
Residents of 15 neighborhoods in Sofia will be without hot water for a period of 17 days. The restriction comes into effect starting tomorrow, August 28, and affects thousands of households in the capital.
The reason for the service suspension is the performance of annual scheduled maintenance on the "Sofia East" thermal power plant. Experts explain that these activities are necessary to ensure the reliable operation of the facilities during the upcoming heating season.
The repair activities include inspection and replacement of critical parts of the network that cannot be repaired while the system is operational. "Toplofikatsiya Sofia" assures that teams will work at an accelerated pace to complete the planned tasks on time.
The affected neighborhoods include areas supplied by the "Sofia East" plant. Citizens can check specific addresses and the timelines for the restoration of hot water on the company's official website or via information boards at the entrances of residential buildings.
Normal hot water supply to all subscribers is expected to be restored after the completion of the repair work. The company apologizes to its customers for the inconvenience caused.
