Bulgaria plans to develop social enterprises through innovation
Bulgaria has set an ambitious goal to develop and modernize the network of social enterprises in the country. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Natalia Efremova, during a United Nations (UN) forum.
The main focus of the new strategy is the introduction of social innovation. The goal is for these enterprises to become more efficient and offer better employment opportunities for disadvantaged people. Social innovation includes new methods and ideas that help solve important social problems.
According to the ministry, social enterprises play a key role in the economy by combining business activity with care for society. Through state support and the use of modern technologies, they will be able to reach more people and create sustainable jobs.
Bulgaria's participation in international forums such as this UN one demonstrates the country's desire to share its experience and learn from the best practices of other nations. The measures taken are expected to improve the quality of life for many citizens and encourage the development of social entrepreneurship in Bulgaria.
