Bulgaria modernizes its army with new 3D radars
The Bulgarian government has taken an important step towards the modernization of national defense. The Council of Ministers has proposed the ratification of a contract for the purchase of seven new 3D radars, which will improve the armed forces' capabilities for monitoring airspace.
The new equipment is of key importance for the country's security. Modern radars will allow for more precise tracking of objects in the sky and a faster reaction to potential threats. This decision is part of the state's long-term plan to renew military equipment and bring it into compliance with NATO standards.
The implementation of these systems will ensure better protection of the Bulgarian sky. The new radars are expected to replace outdated Soviet equipment, which no longer meets modern technological requirements. The project is an important stage in the Ministry of Defense's efforts to increase the level of training and technical provision of the army.
The ratification of the contract is yet to be discussed and voted on by the National Assembly. Following the approval of the deal, the process of delivery and installation of the equipment will begin, which will be a significant contribution to national and regional security.
