Democratic Bulgaria proposes large-scale changes for the country's digitalization
The "Democratic Bulgaria" coalition has presented a new package of legislative proposals called "Laws for a Digital Bulgaria." The initiative includes a total of 40 bills aimed at modernizing administrative services and simplifying the daily lives of Bulgarian citizens through modern technologies.
A key focus of the proposals is the elimination of bureaucracy through the full digitalization of state services. One of the most important ideas is the introduction of a national digital wallet. Through it, citizens will be able to store their personal documents and make administrative payments quickly and securely directly from their mobile phones.
The package of laws also addresses rapidly developing technologies by proposing clear rules for the regulation of artificial intelligence. The goal of these measures is to ensure the safe use of new systems while encouraging innovation and the development of the IT sector in Bulgaria.
According to the proponents, these changes will make the state administration more transparent and accessible. The proposals are expected to be discussed in the National Assembly, where it will be decided whether they will become part of the country's legislation in the near future.
