Eurohold and Euroins stop massive cyberattack
Bulgarian companies Eurohold Bulgaria AD and the insurance company Euroins AD announced that they have been the target of a serious cyberattack. Thanks to the timely actions of the security teams, the attempt to breach the companies' information systems was successfully prevented.
According to official information from the companies, the attack was massive and aimed to disrupt the normal operation of their digital platforms. Immediately after detecting the unusual activity, IT specialists activated protection protocols that isolated the threat and restricted access to the systems.
At this time, there is no evidence of a leak of customer personal data or loss of sensitive information. Eurohold and Euroins assure that all services for consumers continue to operate normally and there is no interruption in the servicing of insurance policies.
Although the attack has been neutralized, the companies continue to work in close cooperation with the competent cybersecurity authorities in the country. The goal is to investigate the causes of the incident and to further strengthen defensive mechanisms against similar future threats.
This case serves as a reminder of the growing number of cyber threats against large financial institutions in Bulgaria and the region. Experts advise consumers to be cautious and companies to maintain high levels of digital protection to ensure the security of their clients.
