German giant Rheinmetall plans ammunition production in Bulgaria
The German defense technology company Rheinmetall plans to begin ammunition production on the territory of Bulgaria. The news was confirmed by the German Ambassador to Sofia, Irene Plank, who specified that the project is in an advanced stage of discussion.
To realize the investment, some changes to the initial contract are necessary. According to the German side, negotiations are ongoing to clarify the technical details and the conditions under which the future plant will operate. These modifications are expected to ensure greater efficiency and compliance with European security standards.
This project is of great importance for the Bulgarian defense industry. Attracting a company of this scale will not only create new jobs but also modernize production capacities in the country.
