Bulgarian woman awaits permission for medical treatment following a severe accident in North Macedonia
Bulgarian citizen Iva Mihaylova is in a difficult situation following a severe road accident that occurred between the cities of Kochani and Shtip in North Macedonia. Since October, she has been forced to remain abroad and has no way to return to Bulgaria to receive the necessary medical care.
The case gained public attention after it became clear that Iva requires specialized treatment that cannot be provided where she is currently located. Due to legal and administrative obstacles related to the ongoing court case regarding the accident, she has not received permission to leave the Kochani area.
Iva Mihaylova's relatives are urging for assistance from the institutions so that she can return to Bulgaria as soon as possible. The matter of her transport and the continuation of her therapy in her home country is of crucial importance for her recovery.
At the moment, a decision from the local judicial authorities is awaited, which would allow the Bulgarian woman to cross the border. The situation remains under observation, with diplomatic and legal avenues being explored to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
