Democratic Bulgaria insists on convening the Consultative Council on National Security
The "Democratic Bulgaria" coalition has officially requested the convening of the Consultative Council on National Security (CCNS). According to representatives of the political force, this is the most appropriate format for discussing important topics related to the country's security.
The main goal of the request is to avoid sowing fear among the Bulgarian public. Democratic Bulgaria emphasizes that it is necessary to conduct a calm and professional dialogue, rather than spreading alarming news without a clear basis.
The CCNS is a specialized body in which the president, representatives of the executive branch, heads of special services, and leaders of the parliamentary political parties participate. This format allows institutions to exchange information and make joint decisions on issues of critical importance to the state.
At the moment, there is no official response from the presidential institution as to whether the council will be convened.
