Bulgaria and Italy propose the creation of a European center for countering hybrid threats
Bulgaria and Italy have joined forces to support an important security initiative within the European Union. Both countries have officially backed the idea of establishing a new European center specialized in countering hybrid attacks.
Hybrid threats encompass a wide range of actions, such as cyberattacks, the spread of disinformation, and attempts to interfere in the democratic processes of nations. With the global rise of these risks, the need for better coordination among European partners is becoming increasingly critical.
The goal of the future center is to gather intelligence, analyze methods of attack, and help member states respond more quickly and effectively. By sharing experience and technology, EU countries will be able to better protect their critical infrastructure and information systems.
This initiative underscores Bulgaria's commitment to the Common Security and Defence Policy of the European Union. It is expected that the idea will be discussed with other European partners in the coming months to determine the concrete steps for its implementation.
