109-year-old Esma Mustafa from the village of Podkova is among the centenarians in Kirkovo Municipality
There are four centenarians living in Kirkovo Municipality who are a true inspiration to the local residents. Among them stands out Esma Mustafa from the village of Podkova, who recently celebrated her 109th birthday.
Esma Mustafa was born in the Rhodope Mountains and has been connected to this beautiful mountain region throughout her entire life. She turned 109 on May 3rd of this year and is now at the beginning of her one hundred and tenth year.
The story of Esma Mustafa attracts the attention of many, as longevity in the region is often associated with a peaceful lifestyle and pristine nature. She is one of the four residents of the municipality who have crossed the 100-year mark.
These individuals are living witnesses to the history of Bulgaria over the last century. Their experience and wisdom remain a valuable example for the younger generations in the Rhodope region.
