Investigation: Are there foreign instructors training Russian citizens in Bulgaria?
In recent days, serious allegations have emerged in the media regarding the activities of foreign nationals on Bulgarian territory. According to information circulated by various sources, former special forces veterans from Western armies have been spotted conducting training for Russian citizens in our country. The topic has sparked a broad public debate and raised questions regarding national security.
According to the data provided, the training in question took place at private bases, with participants being trained in tactical skills and weapons handling. It is alleged that the instructors possessed extensive experience from missions in hotspots around the world. At present, however, there is no official confirmation regarding the scale of these activities or whether they are linked to official state structures.
Competent Bulgarian institutions have already begun an investigation into the case. Security services are analyzing the information to determine whether national laws or international regulations have been violated. The authorities are calling for calm and stating that any activity that threatens public order or the national interest will be subject to a strict investigation.
Meanwhile, political reactions are mixed. Some security experts express concern about the possibility of Bulgaria becoming a training ground for individuals linked to conflicts outside the borders of the European Union. Others, however, are calling for waiting for the official results of the investigation before drawing hasty conclusions.
It is expected that in the coming days, the Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Interior will release more details on the case. Citizens are following the development of the situation with interest, as the issue of security and control over such training is of key importance for stability in the region.
