Bulgaria modernizes its defense with the purchase of new 3D radars
The Council of Ministers of Bulgaria has taken an important step toward the modernization of the armed forces. The government has officially proposed for ratification a contract for the acquisition of seven new 3D radars, which will replace outdated equipment and increase the country's capacity for airspace surveillance.
The new equipment is of key importance for national security. The modern systems will allow the army to monitor flights over Bulgarian territory more precisely and react faster to potential threats. This is part of the state's long-term plan to update military infrastructure in accordance with NATO standards.
The purchase of the radars is seen as a necessary investment in the country's defensive capabilities. The improved technology will ensure a higher level of safety and better control over air traffic, which is essential in the context of the current geopolitical situation in the region.
It is expected that after the ratification of the contract in the National Assembly, the process of delivery and installation of the systems will begin as soon as possible. With this project, Bulgaria continues its efforts to strengthen its defensive potential and guarantee the peace of its citizens.
