Technical failure halts operations at Bobov Dol TPP
Bobov Dol TPP ceased its operations in the early hours of today. The energy facility stopped electricity production at exactly 01:00 AM.
The reason for the shutdown is a serious technical failure that occurred in one of the plant's steam generators. The company's management confirmed the information to the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and clarified that teams are already working to repair the damage.
At this moment, there is no information regarding the duration of the repair work or when the plant will resume its normal operating process. The management assures that all necessary efforts are being made to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
Bobov Dol TPP is one of the key coal-fired electricity producers in Bulgaria. Such failures often attract attention, as the plant plays an important role in the country's energy balance.
Further information on the state of the facility is expected after the completion of initial technical inspections. The situation remains under observation while repair work continues.
