Dozens of illegal medicine sales websites uncovered
Bulgarian authorities have identified more than 73 online platforms that offer medicinal products in violation of the law. The investigation reveals that a large portion of these sites operate without the necessary permits and do not guarantee the safety of the goods offered.
Among the uncovered platforms are over 30 sites specializing in the sale of peptides. These substances are often advertised as supplements for improving physical fitness, but their sale outside the pharmacy network poses serious health risks to consumers.
Experts warn that buying medication from unregulated sources is dangerous, as the origin and composition of the products are not controlled. Often, these drugs can be counterfeit, expired, or improperly stored, making them harmful to the body.
Institutions are urging citizens to be extremely cautious when shopping online. It is important for consumers to verify whether a site is registered as a legal pharmacy and whether it possesses the necessary certificates for its operations.
The investigation into the case continues, with measures planned to block the illegal platforms. The goal of the authorities is to restrict access to dangerous products and protect the health of people in the country.
