Government plans salary increases for young doctors in 2027
Prime Minister Rumen Radev announced important changes to the country's social policy that will affect the healthcare sector. During a meeting with ministers, he announced that a significant increase in the remuneration of young doctors in Bulgaria is planned in the 2027 state budget.
This initiative aims to support beginning medical professionals and motivate them to stay and work in Bulgarian hospitals. Higher salaries are expected to improve working conditions and attract more personnel to the healthcare system, which is in need of new specialists.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister congratulated the employees in the sector for their efforts and dedication. He emphasized that investment in young professionals is a key priority for the government, as they are the future of Bulgarian medicine.
Although the changes are planned for 2027, they are part of a longer-term strategy for healthcare reform. Additional measures to improve the quality of medical services across the country are expected to be discussed in the coming months.
