Bulgaria modernizes its defense with seven new 3D radars
The Council of Ministers of Bulgaria has taken an important step toward the modernization of the armed forces by proposing for ratification a contract for the purchase of seven new 3D radars. This decision is part of the country's long-term strategy to strengthen national security and improve its airspace surveillance capabilities.
The new equipment will replace the outdated systems that have been used until now. Modern 3D radars offer much higher precision in detecting objects, which is of critical importance for the control of the skies over Bulgaria. They will allow the army to react faster and more effectively to potential threats or violations of air borders.
In addition to military purposes, these radars will also improve coordination with NATO partners. Integrating modern technology into the Bulgarian defense system is a key element of the country's commitments to collective security in the Southeast Europe region.
It is expected that after the ratification of the contract in the National Assembly, the process of delivery and installation of the equipment will begin as soon as possible. The investment is an important step toward the technological renewal of the Bulgarian army and ensuring the peace of mind of its citizens.
