The weather is changing: Strong storms and cooling expected over the weekend
In recent days, Bulgaria has been enjoying unusually warm weather for the season. Temperatures in the country are reaching values between 27 and 35 degrees, with thermometers in the capital, Sofia, showing around 32 degrees. Along the Black Sea coast, the weather is also suitable for the beach, with temperatures between 26 and 28 degrees.
However, meteorologists are warning of a sharp change in the meteorological situation over the coming weekend. The passage of a cold atmospheric front is expected, which will bring a significant drop in temperatures across the entire country.
The forecast predicts the development of powerful cumulonimbus clouds, which will trigger intense rainfall and thunderstorms. In some areas, there is a risk of hail and strong wind gusts, which requires increased caution from citizens.
Experts advise people planning trips or outdoor activities over the weekend to monitor the latest forecasts. It is recommended to avoid staying under trees or near tall metal structures during a storm.
The unstable weather is expected to continue until the beginning of next week, after which temperatures will normalize. This cooling marks the end of the hot period and the beginning of more typical autumn conditions for the country.
