Electric vehicles in Bulgaria reach 10% market share
The Bulgarian automotive market is marking significant progress in the transition to more eco-friendly transport. According to the latest data, the share of electric vehicles in the country has now reached 10% of all new registrations. This trend shows growing interest from Bulgarian consumers in vehicles that do not emit harmful emissions.
The sales ranking for electric models is convincingly led by the Hyundai brand. It accounts for 11% of the total number of electric vehicle registrations in Bulgaria. The result achieved represents a significant 72% increase compared to the previous year, which solidifies the company's leading position in the market.
The increase in the number of electric vehicles is directly linked to the development of infrastructure in the country. In recent months, there has been an expansion of the charging station network, which makes owning this type of vehicle more convenient for drivers. Furthermore, many Bulgarian companies and private individuals are choosing electric transport due to lower maintenance and energy costs.
Although the market is still developing, the achieved 10% share is an important milestone for Bulgaria. Interest in electric vehicles is expected to continue growing, supported by global trends for a cleaner environment and technological advancements in the automotive industry.
