CEC to appoint the District Election Commission in Vratsa following reached consensus
The Central Election Commission (CEC) is set to officially appoint the composition of the District Election Commission (RIC) in Vratsa. The decision comes after consultations held between local representatives of political parties and coalitions, who managed to reach an agreement on the distribution of leadership positions.
During the meeting, specific proposals were made for key posts in the commission. Marin Vrabchev was proposed as the chairman of RIC – Vratsa by the "We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria" coalition. His candidacy is part of the efforts to ensure a transparent and professional election process in the region.
For the position of deputy chairman, the GERB-SDS coalition put forward the candidacy of Lora Mladenova. The distribution of the remaining seats in the commission also proceeded in a constructive spirit, with the parties complying with the Electoral Code's requirements for quota-based representation.
Following the reached agreement, the documents from the consultations have been sent to the CEC. It is expected that the commission in Sofia will issue a final decision on the appointment of the composition, with which RIC – Vratsa will begin its preparations for the upcoming elections.
The appointment of the commission is an important step for organizing the voting in the district. Once the composition is officially approved, RIC – Vratsa will take responsibility for the logistics, the receipt of election documents, and the reporting of results in the region.
