Over 100 fires have broken out in the country over the last 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, teams from the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection have responded to an exceptionally high number of alerts. A total of 156 incident reports were received across the country, the majority of which were related to fires that had broken out.
According to official data from the fire department, the total number of fires in the last 24 hours is 101. Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities in these incidents. The teams managed to bring the situation under control in a timely manner, preventing more serious consequences for citizens.
Despite the lack of casualties, 20 of the fires caused significant material damage. Most of the other cases passed without serious destruction, as firefighters responded quickly to every report received.
The fire department reminds citizens to be extremely careful when handling open flames and to follow safety rules. In dry weather conditions, the risk of fire spreading is significantly higher, which is why increased vigilance is urged.
