Large fire causes serious damage to a photovoltaic park near Bobov Dol
A major fire broke out at a photovoltaic park located near the Bobov Dol thermal power plant and the village of Palatovo. The fire spread rapidly, covering an area of about 300 decares, which necessitated the urgent intervention of specialized teams.
Nine firefighting teams from the region were dispatched to bring the blaze under control. The firefighters worked hard to stop the flames from spreading and to prevent further damage to the energy infrastructure in the area.
At present, significant material damage to the facilities in the park has been reported. Despite the scale of the incident, there is no information about any people injured during the firefighting operations.
Local authorities and investigative bodies have launched an inquiry to determine the causes of the fire. A full assessment of the destroyed equipment is forthcoming, and an analysis will be conducted on how the incident will affect the operation of the photovoltaic park.
