The Bulgarian Parliament has established 24 standing committees

The National Assembly of Bulgaria has officially adopted a decision to establish 24 standing parliamentary committees. These structures are key to the work of the deputies, as it is within them that bills are discussed and prepared before being voted on in the plenary hall.

According to the distribution, 14 of these committees will be chaired by representatives of the "We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria" parliamentary group. The remaining leadership positions in the committees will be distributed among the other political forces represented in parliament.

The creation of the committees is an important step for the normal functioning of the legislative branch. Each committee is responsible for a specific area of public life, such as the economy, healthcare, education, foreign policy, and the budget.

The work of these bodies allows the people's representatives to focus on the details of various laws. It is expected that following this distribution, the deputies will begin more active work on the country's agenda and the discussion of topics important to citizens.

Now that the composition of the committees is clear, the parliament can proceed with its regular activities. Citizens can follow the work of each committee through the official website of the National Assembly, where meeting schedules are published.
