Karnobat railway station evacuated due to gas leak from tanker
The railway station in the town of Karnobat was completely evacuated today due to a serious incident involving a freight train. The reason for the emergency measures is a detected gas leak from one of the tankers passing through the station.
Fire and police teams arrived on the scene immediately and cordoned off the area within a radius of several hundred meters. All passengers and station staff were moved to a safe distance to avoid the risk of an explosion or gas poisoning.
Specialized firefighter teams are working to bring the situation under control and stop the leak. Train traffic through the station has been temporarily suspended until specialists are certain that the danger has completely passed.
At this time, there is no information about any injuries resulting from the incident. Authorities are urging citizens to avoid the station area and to monitor official announcements regarding the restoration of normal train traffic.
