Burgas to build the first 'Ronald McDonald House' in Bulgaria
The city of Burgas will become home to the first project of its kind in Bulgaria – a 'Ronald McDonald House'. The initiative aims to provide shelter and support for families whose children are receiving treatment in medical facilities far from their homes. The project is a significant step in the development of social services in the country.
The building will be located in the Zornitsa residential complex in Burgas. The plot designated for construction covers an area of 2,881 square meters. This site was chosen for its convenient location and proximity to major medical centers, which will facilitate the families' access to hospital care.
Plans include the construction of a modern three-story building that will feature 15 private family rooms. Each of them is designed to provide comfort and peace to parents and children during the difficult period of treatment. The goal is for families to stay together while the child receives the necessary medical care.
This project is part of the international network of the Ronald McDonald House Charities, which operates in many countries around the world. The new center in Burgas is expected to improve the quality of life for dozens of families and offer the necessary emotional and practical support to those going through serious health challenges.
