Dobrich marks 110 years since the historic Dobrich Epic
The city of Dobrich solemnly marked the 110th anniversary of the events known in Bulgarian history as the Dobrich Epic. On this occasion, a festive roll call and fireworks display were held in the city, gathering many citizens and officials who came to honor the memory of the heroes.
In his festive speech, the Mayor of Dobrich, Yordan Yordanov, recalled the significance of these historical events. He emphasized the heroism of the city's defenders, who in September 1916 fought heavy battles for three days to preserve the Bulgarian land.
The Dobrich Epic remains one of the most important moments in the history of the region. During the fighting in World War I, the Bulgarian army and the local population demonstrated exceptional courage and unity, which continue to serve as an example for generations today.
The commemoration concluded with a tribute to the fallen soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria. The event reminded all those present of the importance of remembering our history and respecting the feat of our ancestors.
