Sofia kicks off European Week of Sport #BeActive
The European Week of Sport, known under the motto #BeActive, has officially begun in Sofia. This is a large-scale initiative of the European Commission that aims to promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle among citizens of all European Union member states.
The event offers a diverse program, including sports demonstrations, open training sessions, and information campaigns. The organizers hope that through these activities, more people will discover the benefits of regular movement and sports as a way to improve physical and mental health.
The #BeActive initiative is held annually and brings together thousands of participants of different ages and fitness levels. In Bulgaria, the campaign includes numerous activities in schools, sports clubs, and public spaces, with the goal of making sports accessible and fun for everyone.
The European Week of Sport will continue over the next seven days with various events across the country. Citizens are invited to get actively involved, try out new sports, and join the community of people who choose movement as part of their daily lives.
