Bulgaria welcomes its first new electric trains
The Bulgarian railway network is preparing for a significant modernization. The manufacturing company Alstom has announced that the first 12 new electric trains intended for the country are now fully ready for operation.
At this moment, 10 of the new machines have already been delivered to Bulgarian territory. This event is defined as a key milestone in the efforts to improve the quality and comfort of rail transport for Bulgarian citizens.
The new trains are part of a large-scale project to renew the rolling stock, which is intended to make train travel faster, safer, and more environmentally friendly. Their introduction into service is expected to lead to better connectivity between the country's major cities.
Final tests and acceptance procedures for the remaining trains are scheduled for the coming months. After their successful completion, passengers will be able to take advantage of the modern services that the new technologies offer.
