French military personnel and equipment to transit through Bulgarian territory
Over the coming days, personnel and military equipment of the French Armed Forces will be transiting through Bulgaria's national road network. The information was officially confirmed by the Ministry of Defense press center.
The movement of the French military units is part of planned logistical operations within the framework of NATO allied commitments. The military convoys will travel along pre-determined routes, adhering to all traffic safety regulations in the country.
The Ministry of Defense urges motor vehicle drivers to exercise caution when encountering the military column. The movement will be assisted by Military Police teams, who will ensure the unimpeded passage of the equipment through major road arteries.
Such movements of allied forces are a regular practice for member states of the Alliance. They aim to improve coordination and interoperability between the armies of NATO countries when conducting joint exercises and security missions in the region.
The movement of the French military is expected to conclude within a few days. Authorities assure that the transit of the equipment will not significantly disrupt traffic for other road users.
