Two young tourists drowned in the sea near Ahtopol
A tragic incident has shaken the Bulgarian Black Sea coast in the last few hours. Two young tourists from Moldova, aged between 20 and 25, lost their lives after drowning in the rough sea near the town of Ahtopol.
The incident occurred at an unguarded beach in the area. Despite the rapid response of rescue teams who arrived at the scene to recover the bodies of the young people, doctors could only confirm their deaths. The strong sea swells made swimming extremely dangerous.
Local authorities remind all guests of the country and Bulgarian citizens to be extremely careful. It is important to choose only beaches that have assigned lifeguards and to strictly follow the instructions of the flag signaling, especially when the sea is rough.
