Bulgaria, Romania, and Spain join forces to secure airspace
The air forces of Bulgaria, Romania, and Spain have signed an important trilateral agreement. The document provides for the three countries to carry out joint air policing missions in the region.
The main goal of this cooperation is to conduct cross-border operations. This means that military aircraft will be able to cross the borders of the three countries to respond more quickly to potential threats or incidents in the skies over Southeast Europe.
This agreement is part of NATO's efforts to strengthen the defense capabilities of its member states. By sharing resources and expertise, Bulgaria, Romania, and Spain aim to ensure better safety for their citizens and territories.
The first joint training exercises and flights are expected to begin in the coming months. Experts note that such initiatives are important for maintaining stability and security in the region amidst the complex international situation.
