Retail chain JD Sports warns of potential price increases
The popular international sportswear chain JD Sports, which also has locations in Bulgaria, has issued a warning to its customers. The company predicts that the tense geopolitical situation in the Middle East could lead to an increase in product prices in its stores.
The reason for this is potential difficulties in logistics and the delivery of goods caused by conflicts in the region. Company experts are closely monitoring the situation, as global instability often leads to higher transport costs, which ultimately affect the end consumer.
Meanwhile, the company's financial results show serious challenges. In the first quarter of the year, JD Sports reported zero sales growth. This result follows a very weak increase of just 2.1% for the previous year, which indicates a slowdown in market demand.
For Bulgarian consumers, this means they should be prepared for possible changes in the brand's pricing policy. Although there is currently no official information regarding a specific price hike, the economic situation remains uncertain and depends on the development of international events.
