Bulgaria receives nearly 900 million euros under the Recovery and Resilience Plan
Bulgaria has successfully received its fourth payment under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) amounting to 896 million euros. These funds are part of the country's efforts to modernize its economy and improve infrastructure through European funding.
With this new tranche, the total amount that Bulgaria has absorbed to date reaches 4.169 billion euros. This represents 68% of the entire financial resource allocated to our country under the plan. These funds are of key importance for the implementation of a number of important projects in various sectors.
Funding under the Recovery and Resilience Plan is aimed at stimulating economic growth, energy efficiency, and digitalization. The investments support both state institutions and private business, aiming to make the Bulgarian economy more resilient to future challenges.
The absorption of these funds requires the implementation of specific reforms and milestones set out in the agreement with the European Commission. The process of receiving payments is tied to achieving clear results in the areas of justice, energy, and social policy.
