Bozhidar Bozhanov raised the issue of de-oligarchization and the energy sector
Member of Parliament Bozhidar Bozhanov initiated a discussion regarding the process of de-oligarchization in Bulgaria. In his statement, he emphasized the need for transparency in the management of key economic structures in the country.
At the center of his commentary was businessman Hristo Kovachki. Bozhanov pointed out that, in his view, there exists an unofficial holding company that unites several thermal power plants (TPPs) in the country linked to Kovachki's activities.
According to the MP, the topic of the influence of major economic figures on the energy sector is of crucial importance for the future of the Bulgarian economy. He stressed that dealing with such unofficial structures is an important step toward achieving a fairer market environment.
The issue of de-oligarchization remains one of the main priorities on the country's political agenda. Debates on the topic are expected to continue, with the focus directed toward regulations in the energy sector and the role of state institutions in overseeing large private companies.
