Yellow code for dangerous heat in almost all of Bulgaria
Meteorologists have issued a yellow code for dangerously hot weather in most of Bulgaria for today. The warning is in effect for almost all regions of the country, where high temperatures are expected that could be hazardous to people's health.
According to the weather forecasters, maximum daytime temperatures will reach values between 33 and 38 degrees Celsius. Such heat is typical for the summer season but requires increased caution from citizens, especially during the noon and afternoon hours.
Health experts advise people to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and to stay in cool places whenever possible. It is important to drink sufficient amounts of water and wear light-colored clothing to avoid overheating the body.
Special attention should be paid to children, the elderly, and those suffering from chronic illnesses. They are the most vulnerable to high temperatures and should limit their physical activity outdoors during the hottest part of the day.
The heatwave is expected to continue over the coming days. Citizens should monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings from the authorities in order to plan their activities safely.
