Five hotels in Bulgaria receive the prestigious MICHELIN Key distinction
The Bulgarian tourism sector has marked a major success after five hotels in the country were awarded the prestigious MICHELIN Key certificate for 2026. This recognition is granted by the world-renowned Michelin Guide to accommodation establishments that offer exceptional service quality and a unique experience for their guests.
Among the awarded properties in Sofia are InterContinental Sofia and Junó Hotel Sofia. These hotels have been recognized for their high standards and central locations, which attract both business travelers and tourists from all over the world.
The distinction was also awarded to hotels outside the capital, demonstrating the development of luxury tourism in the country. Among them are Kashmir Wellness & SPA Hotel in Velingrad, known for its spa services, as well as AYA Estate Relais & Châteaux in the Varna region, which offers a boutique experience surrounded by nature.
The MICHELIN Key certificate is considered one of the most important signs of quality in the hospitality industry. It is awarded following a rigorous evaluation by experts who assess the quality of the design, architecture, service, and the overall atmosphere of the properties.
This success is an important step in establishing Bulgaria as a destination for high-quality, upscale tourism. The recognition is expected to contribute to attracting more foreign visitors who seek comfort and professional treatment during their vacation.
