Bulgaria in the grip of extreme heat: Temperatures reaching 40 degrees
Bulgaria is gripped by a new wave of hot weather, which will bring a significant rise in temperatures across the entire country. After a brief lull, the summer heat is returning in full force, with meteorologists warning of dangerously high levels over the coming days.
As early as Wednesday, a rapid rise in the mercury is expected, with maximum temperatures reaching up to 36 degrees. The weather will be sunny and hot, necessitating increased caution from citizens, especially during the midday hours.
Thursday appears to be the most critical day, as the country will be under the influence of extreme heat. Forecasts indicate that temperatures will rise to 38-39 degrees, and in some places in the lowlands and flat parts of the country, thermometers could reach up to 40 degrees.
Experts advise people to avoid direct exposure to the sun between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. It is important to drink plenty of water, wear light-colored clothing, and seek coolness in indoor and air-conditioned spaces to avoid health problems.
It is expected that after this peak of heat, the weather will take a turn, but until then, residents of the country must be careful. It is recommended that the elderly and those with chronic illnesses limit their physical activity outdoors during these hot days.
