Bobov Dol TPP has ceased operations due to a technical failure
One of the major power generation facilities in Bulgaria – Bobov Dol TPP – suspended its operations two weeks ago. The reason for the shutdown is a serious technical failure in the plant's steam generator.
The company's management explained that the accident necessitated immediate repair work to ensure the safety of the facility. Due to the complexity of the damage, the power plant has not produced electricity for the last 15 days.
The Executive Director of Bobov Dol TPP announced that repair teams are working hard to resolve the problem. It is expected that all technical activities will be successfully completed in the shortest possible time.
According to official information from the management, the resumption of the plant's operations is planned for the beginning of next week. The situation is being monitored closely, as the thermal power plant is an important element of the country's energy system.
