Large-scale police operation in Plovdiv over National Health Insurance Fund fraud
The police in Plovdiv conducted a large-scale specialized operation in which nearly 10 people were detained. The operation was directed against an organized group accused of draining funds from the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF).
According to investigators, the criminal activity was carried out through fictitious hospitalizations at a Plovdiv hospital.
