Heatwave grips Bulgaria: Temperatures to reach 43 degrees
Bulgaria is preparing for a significant rise in temperatures over the coming days. Meteorologists warn that the country will be gripped by an intense heatwave, with thermometers in some places potentially reaching values of up to 43 degrees Celsius.
Today, the weather in the country will be predominantly sunny and hot. In the eastern regions and over mountain ranges, temporary cloud cover is expected, but the probability of precipitation remains minimal. This means that the sun will continue to heat the ground without interruption.
Experts advise citizens to be extremely cautious during the hours of strongest sunshine. It is recommended to avoid going outside between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM, to drink plenty of water, and to wear light clothing made of natural fabrics.
Authorities remind people with chronic illnesses and the elderly to monitor their health and seek medical assistance if needed. The peak of the heat is expected to continue until the end of the week before a slight cooling occurs.
