Interior Minister: Bomb threats are coming from abroad
Minister of Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev made an important statement regarding the wave of false reports about planted explosive devices. According to him, the threats that have alarmed institutions and schools across the country in recent weeks do not originate from within the territory of Bulgaria.
Investigative authorities are working actively on the case to identify the source of these messages. Analyses show that the alerts are being sent from abroad, which makes uncovering the perpetrators more complex. The Ministry of Interior is cooperating with international partners and security services to track the electronic footprints of the senders.
Although none of the threats have turned out to be real so far, they are causing serious tension and disrupting the educational process in many schools. The police are taking all necessary measures to inspect the buildings in order to ensure the safety of citizens and students.
Minister Demerdzhiev called on the public to remain calm and emphasized that the state is keeping the situation under strict control. The authorities are continuing their work to identify the organizers of these hybrid attacks, which aim to create fear and chaos in Bulgarian society.
