Heavy machinery helps contain large forest fire near Dimovtsi
A large forest fire has broken out in the area of the village of Dimovtsi, posing a serious threat to nature and local residents. The fire is spreading rapidly due to strong winds and dry vegetation in the area.
Specialized teams from "Mini Maritsa-Iztok" and TPP "Maritsa-Iztok 2" have joined the fight against the blaze. Three pieces of heavy machinery are already on-site, assisting firefighters in clearing paths through difficult terrain and creating firebreaks.
Experts point out that the use of heavy equipment is crucial for containing the fire. Thanks to these machines, crews can reach more remote areas where manual firefighting is nearly impossible.
At the moment, the situation remains tense, but the efforts of all services continue without interruption. Authorities are urging citizens to be extremely cautious and not to light fires outdoors, as high temperatures increase the risk of new incidents.
