Minister Petrova: Bulgaria has no new requirements for North Macedonia
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria has made an important statement regarding relations with North Macedonia. According to Sofia's official position, our country has no new expectations of Skopje that go beyond the framework of the agreements already reached.
Foreign Minister Petrova emphasized that all conditions set by Bulgaria for North Macedonia were clearly formulated back in 2022. These requirements remain unchanged and form the basis upon which the dialogue between the two neighboring countries is built.
The main goal of Bulgarian diplomacy is the strict adherence to the commitments undertaken by North Macedonia. The authorities in Sofia expect these agreements to be fulfilled in their entirety so that Skopje's European integration process can move forward.
This statement comes at a time when the issue of relations between the two countries remains a key topic for Bulgarian foreign policy. Stability and good neighborliness are a priority for Bulgaria in the context of regional cooperation in the Balkans.
In conclusion, Bulgaria's position remains consistent and predictable. Sofia continues to insist on the fulfillment of the already adopted conditions, without adding new requirements for its neighbor.
