Sofia celebrated World Tourism Day with free initiatives
The Sofia Municipality celebrated World Tourism Day with a series of special events for the city's residents and guests. On Sunday, Sofia residents had the opportunity to take part in various initiatives that promote the cultural and historical heritage of the Bulgarian capital.
The program included free walking tours with professional guides, who shared interesting facts about the most iconic landmarks in the city center. Visitors learned more about the history of Sofia and the architectural monuments that shape the capital's appearance.
In addition to the outdoor walks, many museums in the city opened their doors to visitors free of charge. Guests had the opportunity to explore interesting exhibitions and participate in interactive experiences prepared especially for the holiday.
The goal of these initiatives is to encourage interest in cultural tourism and to show that Sofia is an attractive destination for people of all ages. The organizers hope that such events will attract even more tourists in the future.
World Tourism Day is celebrated every year to remind us of the importance of travel and cultural exchange. Sofia has once again proven that it is a city with a rich past and a dynamic present, ready to welcome anyone who wants to learn something new.
